DESCRIPTION
Hilltop is a detached four bedroom family home in an elevated position with wonderful south-westerly views. The accommodation is set over two floors and offers flexible living space along with a separate detached double garage and plenty of off-street parking.
A ground floor entrance hallway, with plenty of storage space, leads to three good sized double bedrooms and the family bathroom. On the first floor a principal bedroom and en-suite shower room to one side with bright and spacious open-plan sitting and dining rooms on the other. Both these spaces make the very best of the elevated position and far reaching views. To the rear of the property is the kitchen with plenty of built in units and ample space for a breakfast table, leading to a useful utility room. There is also a guest WC on this level. There is access to a spacious boarded loft from this floor - ideal for storage and also offering the potential to create further internal accommodation (subject to the relevant planning).
At the front of the property there is comfortable off-street parking for three cars as well as a double garage which offers a host of options as storage, a home office or even gym. There is a hidden flat grassed area which again adds to the flexibility of the property as a whole. A roof terrace above the garage, ideal for entertaining, is accessed from steps up from the driveway or from the front door.
To the rear are paved patio and terraced gardens which are well stocked with easy maintenance in mind.
LOCATION
Hilltop is located in Burleigh, two thirds of the way down Brimscombe Hill, just below the open spaces of Minchinhampton Common offering more than 650 acres of glorious National Trust land with wonderful walks, as well as a popular golf course. The towns of Minchinhampton and Stroud are both conveniently located nearby. Minchinhampton boasts a host of amenities with several popular cafes, a gastro pub, post office, chemist and village store, to name but a few. Stroud is a vibrant market town very much with its own identity and a good range of independent retailers, an award winning Farmers' Market and several major supermarkets including Waitrose, One of the key draws to the area is the excellent choice of schools with several sought after grammar schools in nearby Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester. In the private sector, Beaudesert Park near Minchinhampton, Wycliffe in Stonehouse and Westonbirt near Tetbury, are all within easy reach. The property is also well located for transport links with both the M4 and M5 motorways easily accessible and trains into London Paddington from Stroud mainline station, circa 90 minues.
