DESCRIPTION
The Old Farmhouse is a superbly located and charming historic property which exudes a homely and welcoming charm. The main entrance opens into a reception hall with cloakroom and super walk-in larder. The kitchen is clearly the heart of the house and a fantastic room to gather around the large table with family and friends. With fitted units in a stylish pale green and white Aga, this room sets the tone for the remainder of the house; a much loved home, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Historic beams and stunning elm floorboards showcase the rich history of the house, parts of which date back to the 17th Century. A light-filled garden room leads off the kitchen, opening to the garden and the views beyond. The sitting room has a feature fireplace with wood burner inset and pretty window seat overlooking the garden, providing the perfect spot to relax. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor, the principal bedroom with stunning views toward Rodborough Common and Randwick. A spacious family bathroom plus separate shower room, are also located on this floor. A stunning balcony seating area is accessed from the landing, offering a magnificent spot for an evening drink, whilst soaking up the panorama beyond. There are two further bedrooms on the top floor, both with magnificent aged beams. All of the bedrooms have ample storage.
A separate self-contained one bedroom annexe is a superb addition to the house with reception hall, kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The cottage has a rustic charm with aged flagstone floors and scope to update. A separate garage and home office/workshop, is accessed from the gravel parking area, making an ideal bright and light space to work. There is gravel parking for two cars. The garden is a real feature of the property, beautifully landscaped and with well stocked, mature borders including yew and box topiary, together with several seating areas.
DIRECTIONS
The Old Farmhouse is most easily found by leaving our Minchinhampton office along West End, leading into Windmill Road and out onto Minchinhampton Common. At the T junction on the common, turn left and almost immediately right, towards Amberley. Head past the Amberley Inn on your right and continue down Culver Hill, turning right just before the cattle grid into St. Loes Pitch keeping left of St. Chloe House which is in front of you. Keep right on the next small junction and after circa 200 yards, take a sharp left beside Mulberry Cottage and follow the lane for circa 20 yards where the gravel parking area belonging to The Old Farmhouse, will be found on your right hand side.
