DIRECTIONS
From Stroud, travel east along the A419 towards Cirencester and after approximately 3 miles take the turning on the left onto Toadsmoor Road and proceed on this road to Bisley. On reaching the village continue through, and just before the The Stirrup Cup pub and the village shop, turn left along a narrow lane. Follow the lane for a short distance and at the fork in the road, bear right and you will see the gated entrance to Wells Cottage on your left hand side.

LOCATION
Wells Cottage is located in the heart of the quintessentially Cotswold village of Bisley. Surrounded by stunning historic homes, the cottage has a magical outlook over open countryside and archetypal Cotswold homes. The village amenities, including a general store, post office, two pubs and a popular village school, are all within a short walk of Wells Cottage. Well located located between Cheltenham and Stroud, both towns offer a host of excellent shops and facilities. Cheltenham is circa 20 minutes drive and offers excellent shopping, festivals, restaurants and famous National Hunt race course. Nearby Stroud has 4 major supermarkets including a large Waitrose and award winning farmers market. One of the key draws to the area is the excellent choice of schools in both the state and private sector, with several popular schools in Cheltenham including Cheltenham College and Cheltenham Ladies, as well as a sought after grammar school. There are also grammar schools in both Stroud and Gloucester. Communication links are easily accessible with trains from Stroud mainline station into London Paddington circa 90 minutes. By road London is approximately 2 hours with good access to the A40/M40 (Oxford) or the M4 at Swindon and junction 11a of the M5 for Bristol or the West Midlands.

DESCRIPTION
Wells Cottage is the perfect example of a quintessentially English country house. Located in the heart of the picturesque village of Bisley, this handsome home offers an abundance of period features and charm with ample living and entertaining spaces. A pretty porch opens into a delightful sitting room with two period fireplaces, aged beams and pretty window seats from which to enjoy the perfectly manicured garden. The kitchen and dining room are clearly the heart of the home, with shaker style units and a fabulous fireplace with wood burning stove inset. A useful back kitchen/utility room leads off the kitchen, ideal for hiding laundry and a further store room is set to the rear of the conservatory, the ideal space for storing muddy boots and garden paraphernalia. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor, the principal with en-suite bathroom/dressing room and the second bedroom with an en-suite shower. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor, accessed via a characterful entrance under the eaves. Two further bedrooms are located on the top floor plus a shower room and a plethora of stunning aged beams, one with original 1766 date carving.

A separate one bed cottage, perfect for multi-generational living or an income generating opportunity, offers pretty self-contained accommodation with a sitting/dining room, kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom.

Outside, the landscaped gardens have been beautifully designed with an abundance of mature topiary, offering a perfect example of a classic English country garden. A large raised level lawn, formerly a tennis court, could easily be converted back to its former glory. There is also a double garage and gated parking area.
