DESCRIPTION
An impressive split level apartment with private gardens and the most envied views. The Mount sits proudly on the hillside looking out towards open countryside with picture windows framed by stone mullions and intricate detailing in the sitting room. Formerly a substantial period home, the property retains features true to its origin. As illustrated on the floorplan, the property can be entered via a shared entrance or privately from the garden.

The kitchen/breakfast room floods with light due to its dual aspect windows with direct access to a fabulous decked terrace, ideal for alfresco dining.

Stairs lead up to a series of reception rooms with the real wow factor being the sitting room with feature bay window, fire place and wooden floors. The master bedroom is also located upon this level. A second bedroom and the bathroom are located off the rear hallway behind the kitchen.

Externally the property enjoys lovely private gardens with various seating areas together with use of the communal garden.
Located underneath the property are several storage areas, including a workshop.

LOCATION
The Mount is situated in Theescombe, close to the heart of Amberley - widely regarded as being one of the most sought after locations in which to live in the Stroud Valleys. The property's location allows for the most stunning views as it sits nestled on the hillside overlooking National Trust common land. The bustling market town of Nailsworth is just down the hill with Stroud and Cirencester also conveniently close. The former has a main line station (direct services to London Paddington from just over 90 minutes),

By road, London is normally under 2 hours and Bristol about 40 minutes, depending upon the time of day. There are 3 challenging golf courses at nearby Minchinhampton, great walks in the vicinity and the local hills a popular challenge with cyclists. There is even a local vineyard producing excellent English wines. Amberley itself is a friendly community with a church, thriving primary school and two pubs with good food.

DIRECTIONS
From Minchinhampton, proceed up West End into Windmill Road. At the junction on the Common turn left and immediately right to Amberley. Go down the hill and opposite the Amberley Inn take the second left, (not the school turning), signposted to Theescombe. At the subsequent junction, turn hard right back down the hill. and follow this lane through a double bend where the property can be located on the right hand side. Please park on the lane and walk down the public footpath.
