The cottage is entered via a gabled porch, which leads directly into the sitting room with fireplace and exposed beams. Steps lead up to the galley kitchen with fitted units and colourful wall tiles and a window overlooking the garden. A fabulous conservatory leads off the kitchen, offering breathtaking views across the valley and a lovely light filled space, perfect as a second sitting room or a good space for dining. There is also a shower room on this level with WC and sink.
Stairs lead to the first floor with a landing area and front facing double bedroom with stunning views across the valley. A further flight of stairs leads to the top floor where there is a second good sized dual aspect double bedroom with views to both the garden and the vista beyond.
To the exterior of the property there is a wonderful low maintenance garden, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine whilst enjoying the fabulous landscape. There is a large patio area on two levels plus well stocked borders and a water feature.
Minchinhampton is one of the Cotswold's best kept secrets. A buzzing market town with a strong sense of community, the town benefits from excellent amenities, including a popular primary school within walking distance of 8 king Street, doctor and dental surgeries, post office and several fantastic coffee shops and a pub. There is also an excellent selection of retailers including a butcher, chemist, general store, hairdresser and even a highly acclaimed wedding dress shop.
8 King Steet is a short walk from Minchinhampton Common, offering over 600 acres of National Trust land. There are excellent sporting facilities including 3 golf courses, two championship level, as well as rugby and tennis clubs. The area is also popular with tourists, attracted by the stunning countryside and the many nearby villages and towns to visit, such as Tetbury and the popular Westonbirt arboretum. Nearby Stroud has four major supermarkets and a mainline train station with frequent services into London Paddington scheduled from 90 minutes. By road the journey is circa two hours and Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham are within easy reach.
From our Minchinhampton office, head down Well Hill and after approximately 200 yards you will see King Street on the right hand side. A footpath leads off King Street and number 8 is the last cottage on the right hand side.
