On the ground floor, there is a good sized kitchen/dining room and two further sitting rooms divided by a double-sided wood burner plus patio doors leading to the garden. LOCATION
1 Yew Tree Cottages is situated in an elevated position in the delightful hamlet of Burleigh, just below Minchinhampton Common. A gate at the top of the garden provides easy access to the adjoining common, offering more than 650 acres of glorious National Trust land with wonderful walks, as well as a popular golf course.
Regency Cheltenham is within easy reach as is Georgian Bath, both with excellent shopping, theatre and the arts, while London is circa 2 hours by road or 90 mins by train from Stroud Stataion. Junction 13 of the M5 motorway is circa 15 minutes drive, providing easy access to Bristol and the Midlands.
Minchinhampton is 5 minutes drive away or a hearty walk across the common. This charming market town offers an excellent primary school, as well as several cafes, a popular pub and local shops. Nailsworth and Stroud also offer excellent shopping and recreational facilities with several leading supermarkets in Stroud, including a Waitrose. There is also a popular Saturday farmers' market in Stroud.
One of the key draws to the area is the excellent choice of schools, with sought after boys and girls grammar schools in Stroud and Thomas Keble in nearby Eastcombe.
DIRECTIONS
From our Minchinhampton office, head along West End and proceed along Windmill Road in the direction of Minchinhampton Common. Turn right on Cirencester Road and then immediately right again onto Brimscombe Hill. From there take the 2nd turning on your left and the property can be found on your left hand side.
OWNER'S COMMENT
This has been an amazing family home that we have lived in over the last 18 years, raising our two sons. The garden has provided safe and secure play areas for them as they have grown up, as well as for the children we looked after as part of an Ofsted approved and registered child minding business. We have loved having the common on our doorstep and being part of a friendly and welcoming small community.
AGENTS NOTE
There is a pedestrian right of way at the rear of this property for Number 2 Yew Tree Cottages
